4 of my tractors haven't been started in months.
It was 20 degrees yesterday.
They all fired up except for the Jubilee.
What are the odds of it running out of gas when I parked it??
I had to gas it up before it would run. go figure.
To my surprise, the Kubota started as if it were summer.
The last time I started the Kubota was in the fall when I took off the mower and put on the snow plow.

No surprise about the Kubota. Modern diesels are easy starters for the most part. A combination of high compression with very high fuel injection pressure and sometimes glow plugs.

I turn on the key and wait for the glow plug symbol to go off before cranking the engine. I'm pleasantly surprised with the Kubota. How easy it starts and how clean the exhaust is.

No reason in the world to be surprised , your old buddy told you it would start and burn clean...LOL glad you are satisfied.. Glad the rest of them started.

happy camper with Kubota.
The gassers need a little choke and a few attempts to get them started.
All is good in my cold hood.

Back about three months ago I had to take the battery box out of my Super C to replace the temp. gauge. Date on the batt. was 2010, looked brand new inside and out, cells were clean and full of water. I knew I should of replaced it but decided to take a chance although it's not a pleasant job to get that batt. box out and back in.
Monday I had snow to plow. When I hit the starter it grunted once, second time it was running, think it was about ten degrees. Don't think the batt. had another grunt in it.

Come Spring time sometimes some of my tractors will have forgotten how to run over the winter, I have to relearn them how to run.

Did it run out of gas or is it leaking? I usually find theres a leak when that happens to me!
