I just been keeping busy farming. Being a gentleman grain farmer gives me more time for fun projects in the shop! Anybody else like to tinker on IH 66 series tractors?

That is one sweet lookin pickup sir ! I had a 75 custom deluxe 4x4 back in the early 90s. One tough truck. Kow Farmer Kurt

Nice to see someone giving some love to a IH 66 series. I still have my 966 Black stripe, though not too much work for it to do. It was my ploughing tractor with the MF 880 5 bottoms and forage harvester tractor for a good many years. And it also used to pull my 851 MF combine. Those IH 66 series tractors were long in raw power, but just a tad short on operator comfort.
Love that square body Chev truck, and red trucks were always my favourite. I even made a few grey or blue trucks into red trucks, ha ha

I retired 2 years ago. Since then I've put my farm in CRP, bought 2 Oliver 550's, and 880 and a 1550 and sold a JD 70.Worked on all of them, sold one of the 550's and when it warms up a little, I'll finish and sell the other one. Lots of tractor rides and shows and a few plow days. I was loaded up headed to your plow day a couple of years ago on a Sunday morning and when I got to Galesburg, it was pouring rain and the weather maps show rain everywhere, so I turned around and came home. I'm also trying my hand at some woodworking. Sorry to hear about Wriggley. Chris

Always wanted one but never crossed paths with one to buy.i was just a hobby farmer selling hay and working construction nine months out of the year .sorry to hear about Wrigley I know how you feel I lost my buddy a year ago in March it's such a terrible thing to go through

I think you told us earlier but I forgot ..... what is that, a 22, 20 ???? Not many of those narrow front MH's in Alberta. Where did it come from? Looks like some repairs on the front frame rails.

Honestly I am trying to figure out a new hobby to fill my free hours when I get them.

A couple of days away from home for a short mid winter break. Just equipment repairs in the shop now, plus general maintenance to the travel trailer for this summer's adventure.....heading to the east coast.

There's a 666 Hydro with under 2000 hrs. coming up for sale. Don't know anything about them as I have all John Deeres now. Like the looks of them though. Any good or bad about them other than the number?

I have a 1976 Chevy could be a twin to that one, color and all, except for the running boards. It's a nice truck and people wave at me when I drive it down the road. Can be a PITA when it doesn't want to run right. I can remember it stalling at a busy intersection several years ago. Would not turn over. I ended up lying underneath it with a dead blow hammer wacking on the starter while my wife turned the key. Traffic whizzing by. People looking at me like I was road kill. Not one of my happier memories other than it worked and we drove it away. I also have it's big brother grain truck. That one is a 1972 and runs like a top. Tom O'Connor from this forum sold that to me a few years back.

I tried hard all Summer, to keep my glasses clean. I went to the Doc for new ones. He said, glasses wont help, yer eyes are bad! So I'm into cornea transplants, and cataract surgeries. So, flat on my back for a long time. No fun.

I'm in Ky, and I used to have '77 2wd, same color with a white roof. It ran and drove good, but the body and bed rusted away to nothing. Brake lines never rusted, unlike my'92 or'03! Mark.

Cows went 3 - 4 years ago. Too much work too little time. Rented more crop ground and that really stretched things pretty thin.. Days just werent long enough. Its nice to have a life and not work all the time. It was going to take its toll!

Bill welcome back to YT. I always enjoyed your posts in the past. Will seem a little empty without pictures of Wrigley riding along.

No tractor work right now. My worker Jubilee is having to set out under a tarp while my son and grandsons have borrowed space to work on replacing the box on the Ford F450, dually 4x4. Original box was so rusty, he does not want to pull his 5th wheel Montana with 4 slides.
He is going to follow that up with replacing the box on the 2003 Chevy 4x4 (my old truck).
So, I'm relegated to installing a suspended ceiling in our basement. This is an interesting project except for the lighting.
I did not want recessed can lights so I bought 2'x4' 5000 lumen LED drop in lights that fit in place of the 2x4 panels. Oh boy. Out of 8 fixtures that I have bought, 4 were defective. I'm taking two back to Menard's tomorrow morning. I'm too far into this to change fixtures. I'll just keep taking them back until I finish the job.

I seem to remember you had built a nice set up for your cows. Hard to believe you have not been on here for several years. Sorry about Wriggley by the way-glad you're doing what you enjoy though. Mark.
