Where to find rear tires IH WD9

My son bought a IH WD9 that needs rear tires.
I believe they are 16.4 X 34.
I have been looking online to find a source for them but have not
found one. Any ideas?
 
My WD9 has 18.4x34.that size will work for your Tractor too.Go talk to a LOCAL farm tire dealer.They can get them.Be warned,all farm tires are victims of the supply crisis.
 
I bet if you check again real close with a good flashlite they are 16.9x34's. Those are replacement tires for 15-34's that IH installed when the tractor was new.
Tire prices follow crude oil prices fairly close, oil goes up, tire prices increase. You can shop cheaper brands, like BKT, or MITAS, Some of the cheap imported tires have poor life if exposed to sunlight or ozone by store tractor or tires near electrical things like motors.
And there's always good used tires. 16.9x34's are a size that I would expect could be found used.
 
I would think that 18.4-34's would be much more available than the 16's are. I don't think I've ever seen a 16,though most things had the 18's on them.
 
BKT and MITAS are poor examples of "cheaper" tires. MITAS is USA made, formerly Continental. BKT is made in India, and they have made a good reputation for themselves. Neither are particularly inexpensive either. BKT in particular has become quite proud of their tires price-wise.
 
Barnyard is right.Always better to buy
local.Online may be 'cheaper',but add
frieght,and the fact that many tire
dealers refuse to mount 3rd party
tires.Or like my local tire giy,they
charge double for online tires that
customers bring in.Add the fact that if
there is ever a problem,online tires you
are on your own.Local dealers give after
the sale service.Plus local needs your
business to keep the lights on,provide
jobs for your friends and
neighbors,contribute back to the local
ecpnomy.You buy online,the money no
longer circulates,it is gone from the
local economy for good.Online is
convienient,but bad for the local
economy.
