TC-30 Hydraulics

New Holland TC-30
10*F overnight; Tractor is kept inside unheated shed; went to use it this morning and no hydraulics. I keep a heat lamp on it hoping it will help start the motor and also on the hydraulics filter but I guess it isn't enough.

So, apparently the issue is water in the hydraulic line or filter or somewhere that is freezing and blocking flow. Only happens when it is cold.

My question is, how is it getting water in the hydraulic line or filter and how do I get it out?

Thanks for any help. Michael

Gear cases commonly accumulate water from condensation, or it can get in from rain through bad shifter boots.

If there is water, the oil will be milky, and cracking the drain plug will drip water.

No easy way to get it out once it is emulsified into the oil. Have to drain it and let it sit and drip, then change it several more times.

But hopefully it's just cold oil and not water.

Those little tractors will do that when its really cold . Like Steve said if theres water in it the oil will be milky
