Gen Power Generator

Found a Gen Power PTO generator for sale locally,45KW run 100 KW surge.Way more capacity than I need but I guess the HP power it takes to pull it would depend on how much electric power I need? Anyway any good or bad things about this brand? Was a backup at a poultry house very little run time per the seller.

Most PTO units run at 1000 or 540 rpm. Don't think I have ever heard of Gen Power. I will see what I can find out.

From what I found there are several called Gen Power. But all use high quality products.

Thanks,it was originally sold by a local supplier that has been around here for a long time.Will go and look at it this PM or tomorrow.

You are correct, the load will determine the horsepower required. The total KW capacity will determine the the maximum horsepower. You will not be using it all.

Bingo if you turn too many things on at once your tractor will tell you. It will run just fine under light loads,on the bright side if you get a bigger tractor someday your already prepared.

Are you sure that is not a 3 phase generator ??

I have a 100 HP tractor but the house will draw not more than 15KW the way it'll be wire up.

Yea,these are pretty common around my area to run lights,heaters and fans in big multiple poultry houses.
