I was just wondering what happened to your Husquvarna saw and what model it was. If your not going to fix it I would maybe interested in a parts saw depending which model it was. Thanks

The saw is a Husqvarna 455 with a 16 inch bar on it. I don't remember for sure but I think I bought it about 15 years ago. The saw was working fine, I put it away one night and the next time I took it out, it wouldn't start. I took it to a shop and the guy told me that there was a vacuum leak somewhere in the seal between the cylinder and the base of the saw. He said it would cost more in labor to fix it than the saw was worth. Not knowing anything about chainsaw maintenance, I just took his word for it and bought a new Poulan chainsaw.

I have no intention of trying to fix the saw or of taking it to another shop. If you'd like it, I would be glad to give it to you rather than hauling it to the dump. I live in Southern Middle Tennessee about 40 miles due south of Nashville out in the sticks near Spring Hill, TN.

What do you think?

I would pay the shipping on it if you would be willing to do that. If your email was open I could give you my address.

Tom,

I'd be glad to do that but I think that it would be wise to put it into a box and take it to FedEx/UPS and find out what the cost would be for shipping before we actually pull the trigger on having it shipped. I will do that this week and let you know what the shipping cost would be before actually shipping it.
