Pushed some snow. Then did a little more work on the engine its all ready to go in the hole well minus the clutch . Went ahead with a wear sleeve now no reason to lose any sleep at night . Got the 6x6 in the shop ready for a carb replacement . Would be really nice to get it going to haul water Then I wouldnt have to start a tractor . I made a handy little parts bench from a pallet a bin storage system and a tarp works good and makes a cover to keep parts clean .

Got a couple done today myself, had to get the radiator off the 3000 to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately I had to order one for a replacement. The governor is not working on my cub so got it off to look at it. Gonna need some help with that project.

Got the week off between Christmas and New Years

Daughter #2 needs an ac compressor in her car, need to finish daughter #3's car that smacked a deer.

Need to do some welding on the squeeze chute, and fix a steel roof. Got an electric line to put back up that a dump truck knocked down.

Got 70 chestnut trees to plant, started last spring, but I haven't gotten to yet.
And my lovely wife has stuff she wants done

Thinking I'm gonna retire from the town job in march, then I'll have time for everything.....right?

Merry Christmas

Fred

I got this tractor when an uncle passed. In a previous life the fan had gotten into the radiator and been repaired on the back side, and on the front side the light fixture had rusted off and the light had been rubbing on the radiator. It may could be repaired, but the closest shop is over an hour away. So just as economical to order a reman one and put it back together.

Not much to a cub governor. Bearing inside or spring out side. 99 percent of the time you can replace the spring on the outside and it improves!

How old is it? I put a new radiator in my 52 year old JD 2520 last spring. The original was such a mess inside and out, I decided to just replace it. After a bad internet experience I will only buy something like that locally. The only radiator available through JD was A&I. I think it was made in the Czech Republic!

I have fixed worse ones than that . Had to jb weld a big patch on my 4020 radiator been that way since 2007. Hoping to get a new radiator for it next spring

In the middle of the JD 4320 stem to stern restore. Every component is done at this point, need to start painting and work on some sheet metal.

Wow . We had a 43 that was a heck of a tractor way stronger
than my 4020 . Hope you keep up posted
