I was skiing at Whiteface Mt. once. (Lake Placid NY) Also known as Iceface Mt. And had to ski through the snow guns from the top. Snow froze on my face and everything else. Had to go into the mid-station chalet and thaw out.

Btdt many times. Not the greatest tractor
for blowing snow. Cold starting is not the
greatest and low reverse is too slow many
times and high reverse is too fast most of
the time.

(quoted from post at 09:11:36 12/22/21) Blowing snow is for cab tractors.

For sure. Blower should be on the front too.

I moved my last snow with an open tractor 25 years ago. Bought an old Jeep CJ7 and put a plow on it, best 500 bucks I've ever spent.

Warm, 4x4, short for good maneuverability, looking forward instead of being twisted around trying to see behind. Don't miss open tractor snow removal at all.

Rear mounted blower on a cab tractor might be okay with good mirrors maybe.

Anyone set up with mirrors to watch the blower?

WOW--You had it tuff! All I did is help fight my neighbors farrowing house fire in 10 below weather with a 20 mph wind and I wasn't even a fireman. We had to go in his house to chip the ice off of our faces---Tee----PS- The 500 gal. LP tank was right next to the building but it did not blow!

"Anyone set up with mirrors to watch the blower?"

Yep, got mirrors, cab, heat and a pull forward snowblower.
Works great. I've kept the blade on the front in case the
snow gets too deep to drive through before blowing.
Pie weights on the rear wheels with new tires.
I put chains on it now too after we got an ice storm.
Windshield wipers front and rear are nice too.
Sometimes wish it had them on the sides!
The mirrors are from a 1978 Dodge pickup and work fine.

Good looking rig. I've only ever seen the old pull type blowers, didn't know they were still made.

They are still made but if you go to buy a new one, be prepared for sticker shock!
A Meteor like this in 68 inch width will run around $6000
Plan ahead, buy it in the spring/summer, haul it yourself, yaddy yaddy yaddy, saves money.
