John Deere A clutch

Alright yall need some help here just took apart the clutch on my 51 A and I'm not too sure what too look for as far as rebuilding it goes. The main drive clutch and slider gear lool good with no scoring or major wear. The 2 clutch facing also don't look horrible as well. If I do rebuild the clutch do I need to do everything inside or only a few certain things? And also does anyone know the size of the oil seal that goes on the clutch pulley? Thank ou all for the help.

Replace the t-headed adjusting bolts for sure. They get brittle or something and a broken one means you have to take the whole clutch apart again.

There is no seal on the clutch pulley. One on the flywheel side that is available from Deere if that is the one you mean. Change the bolts for sure, maybe the pins #28. Also there is a pin #21 in the pulley part itself. We usually bore and put a bushing in #24 to tighten that up. Makes a huge difference in how they work.

Any Cat I ever drove had at least three hand clutches. Of course I never drove anything newer then a 1954 D4.

Have not found that problem BUT they do were a notch in that will not let clutvh disenguage. Had a 38 A, 51 A, 50 AR, 46 B and 49 B. Had the bolts ware to that I could not dissenguage the clutch on the 50 AR.
