didnt know if Dieseltech or others could help me but just brought home 930. It had run a few years ago then sat outside. Changed fuel filters and put new fuel in. Broke all 6 lines loose at the injectors. Tried to pull start around the yard. Got good fuel out of 1,2,4. Closed down Lines 1 and 4 leaving the others open. Pulled immediately again will not start and still no fuel coming out of 3, 5, 6. While pulling there is smoke like it is trying but nothing. Any thoughts??

I wont speak to the fact you may have damaged the pump , as it may have become stuck after sitting so long. But if the pump is not damaged. From my own experience running my 930 out of fuel, they can be tough to get bled properly. Does your hand primer work? I would just keep at it trying to bled the lines, and pulling the tractor to get it to start. If you have damaged the pump, I doubt you can do anymore harm to it trying to start it now

that would be the german bosh inline pump those are not as trouble some like the psb american bosh pump, i would say it is not bleed yet. i use air into the tank with a rag around the filler. while someone is cranking it. just a couple pounds like to get that fuel pushed through. also a full tanks of fuel helps lots. they are a buggar to bleed. plus depends on how long it sat not running. also did it have fuel in the tank and pump to start with?
and also a sniff of starting fluid once its smoking helps a lot to get them going.

Before going any further, remove the round rack cap on the pump front, using a 19 MM wrench. Now see if the rack will move freely, if not then one or more plungers are stuck from setting. Rack MUST move freely for the governor to control engine speed. Rack comes out for more fuel, and in for less fuel/shutdown. It SHOULD go in/out by the full travel of the throttle lever. Pump MAY need removed to get it working again, DO NOT beat on the rack either..

Many thanks to all of the support and advice. The rack nut is one on the radiator side of the pump correct?

Did your purge it with priming hand pump. Changed filters on my 930 with full tank and let set for 2 days with bleed screws open. 1st filter self filled. 2nd filter took 100 pumps to purge air. They are a pain to get all air purged.

back home and took off rack nut. shown in picture....moving throttle from idle to WOT the bolt head moved maybe about a total of 1/8.
