Bruce, Do you realize 98% of the population in Canada and the USA would think that is weird that you would take such a picture. I think it is beautiful! My son just hauled out the horse manure 10 days ago with Jenny's New Holland 185 on our 1030. It is the only tractor I have with small 1000. I really should get a back up tractor. Bill

Ah, the smell of fresh Dairy Air.....

Great picture Bruce. I know the younguns are wondering how you manage without a cab .... In Canada....In December ..... spreading Manure.

I bet you have to work Christmas too!

Peace, Larry

Course it beats the good old days when we milked by hand.

Bruce,

I haven't hauled manure for a long time, but I remember the old days well. Let me say also, that I really admire the fact that you stick with milking cows. That's a real commitment to people to get that good nutrition but It's also a really admirable trait to provide for the animals as well. I haven't done any milking for about 30 years and although I don't miss it, I really admire the people that have stuck with it.

Thanks for your pictures and for your other posts. They always invoke memories.

We could get a majority of it out with a skid steer before forking the last out to repair the chains when that happened. Did not break the T-bar style very often though.

I too, like the pic. That was my job when my Dad milked: I would haul while Dad did morning milking, or after we had breakfast. Dad did not want any ruts, so we only hauled manure when the ground was frozen or dry. So, the pic reminds me of being cold, LOL! Mark.

Spreading manure was always one of my favorite jobs. Especially in December after dark with the snow swirling and Christmas carols on the radio.

Oh I been there. I use this here 4010. The only good use for these cabs. Cause theyre not sealed, not dampened so theyre noisy as heck. Though most people know this of course. Love it for spreading manure but even with ear plugs it itll like to blow my ears out.

You would be stuck with half that here .I wa picking/shelling corn with the rear wheels engaged last night all the time. We don't even dare to take the cart out in the field to fill. With 200 HP on the front with MEWD
