Done with baling forever

Well it was fun while it lasted, sold an investment property we bought, that I had a hay field on to pay taxes. Just had it for four years, bought it for 23K, and sold it for 85. Not a bad return I guess for only 3.5 acres. I have another acre at the house I baled as well. I'm getting close to retirement, so I don't need to kill myself any more than necessary...
I'm selling off all the implements, I had stuff that actually ran good this time... Baled 40 acres a while back, but had a '45 Farmall M to do it with, and as much as I liked that tractor, the 4600 Kubota was MUCH nicer to work with.
I'm going to take that money from the implements (when they sell) and buy an army deuce and a half, my ideal pickup truck.
I will miss the smell of freshly baled hay, but not the sore muscles...

You'll be looking at long term capital gains, Google you in income and what percentage you'll be paying. Better yet call your CPA.
I'm selling Vaseline with teflon. It's going to hurt.

Ah a Duece and a half , with a 302 GMC gas, nice engine, not sure how much gas its going to use, but i had a 302 in a farm truck, i liked it better than the 327 Chev!

Geo - you make money, you pay taxes on it. They could do away with capital gains taxes. Then you would get to pay regular income tax on the profits.

Deuce and a half with a 302 what a gutless wonder no balls and no go. I had to pull one out 40 years ago a guy was delivering wood to a guy he got stuck would not even spin the wheels as I pulled it out. Just plain gutless. I would opt for an old Dodge 3/4 was on 20 inch wheels had the old siamese 6 with only 4 tires to buy and much lighter.

eah, money has to come from somewhere to feed/shelter all those who don't work!

Uh, MULTIFUEL with a C turbo. That will pull a house off the foundation. No way I'd want a gasser.
