Is there anything that will mix with g12 Volkswagen man says no ?

Im not sure and not sure how anyone can keep up with so many kinds. Seems like if there was a coolant book that covered every make and model vehicle it would be thick !
 
I haven't been arrested for cruelty to animals or killing any horses.
Guess it's all a matter of perspective, which end of the horse you choose to look at.

I don't deal with warranty and everything I own gets the universal that walmart sells. I don't care what anyone says but have done it for years and have never had issues with engines.
 
sv, one of the many things i do is own a collision and restoration auto body shop. i used to bulk buy antifreeze, oils, waher fluid ect. also stocked most common bulbs. now, with so many different fluids for each vehicle, we no longer stock any. if a job needs antifreeze, it is ordered from the dealer, invoice goes with the file. either customer or insurance is billed. same with lubricants , bulbs and other misc components. that way down the road the shop cannot get blamed for using the wrong fluids and end up with a hefty repair bill. it happens.
 
The linde forklifts we use at the local mill come with a VW engine in them. The first machine we had we mixed the purple MOBIL coolant in with the the G12. Within 5-6000 hours of runtime, the rad and oil coolers were all plugged with silicant dropout. (Or something that plugged the coolers). We started draining out the factory coolant G12 and just run the MOBIL coolant from the start. No troubles. Though it seems we start getting coolant in the oil between 16000 and 20000 hours of runtime. By then it is usually time for a engine rebuild and we put a new head on. We will most of the time get 35000-40000 hours of operation out of a machine before it is off to the scrap dealer. Our mill runs 24/7. Some machines will get over 7-8000 hours a year.
