Chart should be in the manual. That is a LF-12. I have a LF-10 with grass seed on it. What agitators are in it? I have both the fertilizer ones and the seed ones for mine. I have seen a good many with just the seed ones for planting oats. Tom

Is there a particular reason for that one over one with a spinner and holds tons rather than holds just maybe a ton? I can guess one good reason could be wind out there.

Im not sure on the agitators . I do know it was used to spread fertilizer. Downloaded the manual free on John Deere publishing website no chart for fertilizer but there is a chart for seed

I agree on the spinners. I used one and it's spread was uneven, no matter the setting. I had to criss cross the field to get things fairly even. I have a linear one now and it's much more even.

Do you like it ? Looks slow and relaxing feels like your really doing something looks like to me and no guessing on your spread pattern

Yup it is fast spreads well if the belt does not come off. spreads a 40 ft swath. I don't know of anybody around the area that has or uses one like you are showing. It all gets spread with spinner carts here. I can see how the wind or poorly blended fertilizer could not spread even with it though. If it is windy I have set the rate for half and double spread with urea since it is lighter than most other products.

I used to get a tow behind from the co-op that held maybe four tons. The two spinners were propelled by the PTO but the chain was driven by a small wheel that dropped down on the spreader wheel. Once you set it it would maintain the rate no matter how your speed might vary. The only time that I had a problem was one time there was a light mist in the air. The chain got wet from mist sucked in by the spinners and the rate was very heavy right under the spreader.

Ive used one of those but I dont own one and Id like to have
one of my own . The old fertilizer company had about 10
spreader carts this new outfit has 2 and they hate having that
many they dont want anything to do with anybody that
doesnt buy 700,000.00 worth of product a year and thats a
small account

I've got a spreader like that made by Ez Flow, doesn't hold much but works great on steep hillside pastures that would have a spinner cart shoving a tractor over the hill.
