GP,
Thanks, never seen anything like it.

When it comes to automatic tranny, I shy away.
In 1960 my dad bought a New Ford 6000. The only new tractor he ever owned.
Farmers did the R&D on the 6000.
It was in the Ford shop more than in the field. SOS..

When Ford changed colors from red to blue, somewhere around 63, Dad was given a Blue 6000. That was a much better SOS.

To this day I shy away from SOS. If they break I'm afraid I'll be SOL.

I remember the first red 6000 to reach our local ford dealer in August 1961. I remember because it was near my 13th birthday and I was with my dad. The ford dealership was adjacent to our Oliver and A/C dealer and only a couple blocks from our JD dealer so it drew a small crowd of farmers to the big ford lot. The 6000 was beautiful and several guys got to drive it around the lot. One guy took it into a side street that went to the rail yard and opened it up in 10th gear. It was fast!!!
Question...does anyone know what the selling price was?
