I guess there mowing the road easements. I wonder if they would let me borrow that for a couple of days? I sure could chop a lot of this darn honeysuckle out!

When I lived in Georgia one of my employees borrowed a state tractor with a bush hog on it. He just wanted to cut a little bit of his Mom's property. Didn't work out to well for him because he got caught.

There is a gas line that runs west-east through both farms here. Back during the 1970's it was owned by Tenneco. In those days they would mow the right of way every summer. More than a couple of times the guys said if you needed to mow something of your own that the key was in the tool box. Of course everything was David Brown or Case. We never took them up on the offer.

My county is replacing their open air JD's with Kubotas with cabs.
I think it would be fun to play with one for a week or two.

I would like to shoot the man who planted the first asian honeysuckle in my hood.

I've spent over a decade removing honeysuckle from 22 acres. Don't think I'll live long enough to remove all of it.

Around me (SE MI), most of the ROW mowing is done by contractors. I think they would feel the same way I would about someone using my equipment without permission.

Surprised they leave that out there!

It's a tree butcher! Very unpopular because of the damage it does, can leave a tree horribly disfigured down to a bare trunk left standing!

People hate them!

Back in the '70s the power company put a 500,000 volt line through our farm. My brother waited for them to leave, then ran their dozers every night till dark clearing the field edges. They had to have seen it, but never said a word. Good thing the fuel truck was there every morning.

Up here honeysuckle was a real nice and behaved hedge for the outside row of a grove.

Some disease came along and wiped it out. Kind of a bummer.

Might be different kinds of honeysuckle.

Here the Chinese elm was, and mulberry still is, the weeds to dread trying to control.

Years ago the county was dumping a bunch of fill on my property (with permission). So much so that they left their little FD5 dozer here to push it back. I got a bunch of work around the farm done with it. I liked it so much I later bought one! I had been looking for a long time. I never would have bought a Fiat if I hadn't run one first.

the picture brings up a question. will a skidsteer mounted brushcutter work for trimming tree branches along a fence row, when raised up?

Well, at least they do mow the roads, here in Central Va. they mowed in late spring, and never mowed again. VDOT has gotten to be worthless.
