Mounting Snow Plow blade in a front Bucket

I have a J D 410C 4x4 backhoe. I remove the front bucket and mount a truck plow blade to the loader frame...Works good---QUESTION can I mount that plow blade with the A frame attached into the tractor front bucket. That would be a lot easier hook up if it would work. Any ideas or pictures out there???

I have a snowplow that uses the John Deere Quick-Tach system. Long hydraulic hoses to rear of tractor to turn blade. Loader controls to raise and lower blade and to tilt blade.

Years ago I made a V snow plow that fits on the bucket of my Ford 841S. It has a U shaped piece at the bottom that fits over the bucket edge and is then chained tight to the bottom of the bucket and at the top there is a pin set up for hold the top in place. Works well an a past out an then back into my drive way and I'm done

You can do anything.
3 pt arms have no down force.
My front bucket doesn't float.
So if one wheel front or back hoes in a pothole a corner of my bucket will dig in.

A ridge mount not all that good.

My tree guy attached to landscape rake to his bobcat. Same problem, the rake doesn't float. Rake tore up the lawn.

Figure out how to make SNOW plow float and articilulate, post back you design.

If have concrete or asphalt you can buy SNOW pushers. Gravel another story..

i welded two clip angles into my bucket--then pin the snow plow to them--they will articulate at the pins so the only down weight is the weight of the plow

I have a snow pusher on my Ford 655A backhoe. I just drive into it with the bucket and chain it on. Takes less than 5 minutes. It floats so wonderfully I plow gravel driveways with it no problem. It has a rubber cutting edge.

Len good to hear from you. Call me later next week. 989 413 5684. Lost your number. If you want The blade to articulate or twist use a mini ball like they use to mount blades on 6 way set ups for dozers then it will follow the ground as you push it or should. If not worried just weld a couple pieces in the bottom of the bucket to pin the blade on with then connect your angle hoses to angle the blade with. It could eeven be welded back in the bucket some and then tilt the bucket to get contour float as you push. I would just bolt a couple heavy 1/4inch or heavier angles to the bottom front of the bucket inside to pin to. Then just go to work. The bottom of the bucket could then touch the ground on occasion without hurting anything.

Hi Mark and others---I would like to mount mine farther back in the bucket. My loader bucket has the FLOAT option. Can I have the A-FRAME mounted solid in the bucket as long as I USE TH E FLOAT POSITION????
