Minneapolis Molines going away MN

All,

I used to travel quite a bit and always look at tractors that happen to be working, parked, for sale, etc.

Today, not far from a big refinery near Hastings MN, there used to be a sizable collection of Minneapolis Molines. I always wanted to stop by and see if there was that old boy that would show/tell me of his collection.

Sadly, I drove past there today and they are nearly all gone. There was a few tractors left, but not near the hundreds that used to be there. Just dirt.
I missed my chance.

Yep, a lot of places I used to drive by even if there was just a handful of equipment in the yard are gone. Don't put off for tomorrow as it might all go away. Complete farms down in the Southern Tier here have gone in a neighborhood. Buildings that were outdated or in poor condition are gone. One dairy had just one building standing that barely covered a Claas chopper head and a windrow merger. The house and upright silos taken down. The New Gen 20 series JD's including a 4320 have moved on. Probably 4 out of 6 most likely went for parts as they had not moved in quite a while.

There's a guy near me who has a museum of local artifacts from Adam and Eve until present day. He gives private tours to anybody that asks. If he showed you everything, it would take two days. He's probably 75 or so. Every year, the local sixth grade class would take a field trip there and he would show the kids how to make authentic Indian, wait I probably can't say that anymore. He shows the kids how to make authentic Native American arrowheads and shows artifacts from the era.
Sadly, the school board decided they couldn't allow sixth graders to take a field trip to this museum because this guy has genuine historical and homemade knives there, even though they are behind locked glass.
This guy also has terminal cancer and doesn't have much longer to live. His heirs don't want anything to do with it. Another lost treasure trove of artifacts.

Dennis, there use to be a HUGE [gear] wheel laying out on somebody lawn, south oh the refinery also i stopped and looked at that but its been a while also, just curious if it got moved???

That guy your talking about off 55 was having an online auction, cant think of his name rigjt now, Cy?? but i think the auction is done.
Wheel south of the FHR refinery is gone, there was auction there a few years back. Lots Cat, MM, Case, JD, MH you name it was there, probably 40-50 all total.
