Actually a month ago now but just got around to uploading a video. Those old lock ring Ford wheels are not as easy to work on as the R series International wheels but I got it done and still here. For those that missed it, this is on my bale wagon which used to be a 46 Ford truck with the 7.50x20, ten ply truck tires.

Old Ford Wheel

Rusty, there was or is a trucking company out of Minnesota,in the southern part, a freight co,They drove Ford Trucks, they always bought their new trucks with that cast spoke wheels, until about 20 years ago, when Ford stopped offering them,Jon F, do,you remember the co? Well anyway i talked to one of the driver he said the shop foreman, kept telling the boss, that what he recommened! I seen one come off, at Brad Reagan Tire Co, In Fargo one time, it was in the pipe cage, that you see in tire shops, wow, did that ring the bell, the guy airing up the tire didnt get hurt, but he was dirt from head to toe after wards!

I really don't get the ring type wheels/rims. I just bolt the wheel back on or slip the rim on and bolt up. Ring is on the inside so no problem. Been doing them since I was about old enough to get the rings off.

That is true on an outside dual but not for the front wheels. They have the ring side out. Same as the inside dual wheel.
