Get ready time

With flurries off and on most of the day, I needed no reminder it is time to get ready for snow. Backed the sled into its winter parking spot and moved the Ranger up to the house garage. Put the blade on the loader and checked the hydraulics, all good. Checked the yard lights and set out some reflective markers for where the driveways are. Fixed the loose top hook on the quick tach on the Massey and filled it up with #1. Hung out the cord and remote control for the block heater and checked all the work lights on it also. Got the snow bucket set out for the skid loader. Moved the 3 point snow blower to the shop, it needs a bit of straightening on one of the guards and a new plastic liner in the spout. Part of a cement block went thru it last year and did some damage, I'll fix that tomorrow then put it on the tractor. Feel pretty good to be well ahead of where I usually am for this time of year.

I'm in west Michigan, so I have been prepping too. Got my wood stove installed, and now working on new LED's in the shop pole barn. Yardwork, tree trimming and new boards on the outside deck is complete. Front end loader is on the John Deere and ready for snow.

Arctic cat cheetah 2-up wide track. Old man sled my kids say. 2 speed and reverse so I can get around pretty much anywhere. Mostly used for running the river and ice fishing.

As close as I can get, but still a ways into the yard where they push in easy. They are just a suggestion at best, mostly trying to mark obstacles like water shutoffs and flower beds. Only about half survive standing until spring.

Last week already, I put the blade on my Yamaha Grizzly, and the plow on my F-250. I like to get it done before I have to wallow around in snow, or mud and slop to do it...........I grew up in Iowa too!

I need to get a new hydraulic cylinder for my blade and so sine welding on my box scraper and get my chains on

I can't remove mower until the leaves have all fallen.
That's usually doesn't happen until after Thanksgiving.
Won't take long to put on snow plow.

Not even close to being ready . And as i type this watching some small squalls coming and going . The WITCH POTION the quacks have me on have been kicking my donkey and affecting my breathing . I have not looked at the snow blower since the last time i used it . And i may not even bother with it . The War Dept got a new jeep Cherokee with all wheel drive and she works at home now , no more chasen all over three countys . Her morning commute fighting the traffic is not tripping over two cats. I am leaning strongly to going full GROUND HOG mode and not sticking my head out till the outside temp reaches my age again.
