Lets take a look at this Ferguson disc

I picked this disc up with that Ford plow you guys helped me with a couple of weeks ago. I finally got it in the shop to look it over.

At first glance it looks pretty rough but now that Im actually looking it over I think its in fairly good shape. I see I have one broken pin that has walked out of position. If I can get the outside 2 discs off I can fix that.

It looks like there are 2 grease fitting for each bearing. I dont see anything broken. I think Im going to pump in as much grease as they will take.

Im not sure if you can see it in the pictures but it did take some damage at some point in its past. I see a couple of places with some really rough welding done to it. Not sure if I really need to do anything with those spots or just leave them be.

It is missing one scrapper. I dont think Ill get time to work on it till next week, but in the mean time what do you guys think? Is there anything else I should be looking at that Im not thinking of? As always thank you for your help.

Pump grease in those bearings until it comes out, roll it over a few times and grease it again. Yes, those are chicken sh-t welds. I guess it depends how much time you have to put into it. It worked like that so you could just go ahead and use it until it breaks again and then fix it right or cut it off, grind smooth and weld it back correctly. Have fun!!
