Those are really neat. I've heard the self propelled balers were dirty to operate because of where you were sitting. Anyone ever run one?

I was the youngest boy, I always drove the tractor that powered the baler.
Depending on wind direction, at the end of the day, I had a round bale of hay in each hostile. Dry hay is very dusty.

All new holland hay equipment had no equal for a long time . Now its cheap value priced Italian crap

Dad bought a New Holland 901 self propelled mower around 1961. Replaced 2 tractors on sicklebar mowers and another tractor on the hay conditioner. Cost me my first paying tractor driving job- running the conditioner.

Neighbor had a NH self propelled baler. We stopped in once when he was finished baling some clover and he was completely black from the dust. They were worse than a mounted corn picker or an open station combine. I was the runner up bidder on his baler at his farm sale. Tom
