Right or Wrong, it's Done

Summer got away from me, not sure where it went, but I didn't get anywhere near done what I planned to do. I need to sell the last Oliver 550. I thought it was done and then the radiator started leaking and I see that the rear main is leaking, so I have to fix that. I needed to paint it, I had part of it painted with the rattle cans and it got up to mid 50's this afternoon, so I finished painting it. It's got some runs, but my painting usually does. Supposed to get down near mid 30s tonite and be cold all next week. We'll see how it turns out.

I have to say that I am pretty happy with what I got done this summer. I had a fair amount that I planned to get done on my house and old post and beam barn. I didn't get done all that I hoped to but I did a major drainage job to keep water out of the basement that I hadn't planned on. I had nothing planned for shop work other than regular maintenance, and I got out on a day trip and an evening trip with my antique roadster nearly every week.

I had a pretty productive summer,

cut and stacked 4 cord of firewood

framed in a new walk in closet and 1/2 bath

had 4000 BF of wood milled

had new shop built

in the process of moving all tools etc. from old shop

ready to rest../.

Time just sails away doesn't it? I didn't get near the shop work done I had planned. Other things in life got in the way and also I found myself spending more time in the recliner than I had expected. This one resident Deere sitting in the shop was supposed to be in and out and gone this summer but the way the future looks it will enjoy a stay in a heated building for a few more months. I hope you all have a good productive late fall and oncoming winter.

I started a new shop/eq shed last summer. I told my wife I planned on being in it by spring. I'm glad I didn't tell her which spring...
