Ended up getting sainfoin seed instead of alfalfa which I lily
the sainfoin better anyway . Eskie Is the variety the seed
place says its good for dryland . Hopefully get it drilled
tomorrow. Ran the power harrow over everything one more
time to help kill the grass

What percentage of your tillable ground are you putting it on? Are you mixing anything like a grass in with it?
 
There is no second cutting on dry land here . Sometimes there is no first cutting . We average about 15 or 16 inches of on a normal year and a lot of that Is snow and fall rain after the growing season is over .
 
Going to plant about 1/2 a percent into this . Id like to plant
some on my range but it doesnt tolerate a high water table so
maybe a little bit on the higher ground see what it does
