Finishing 2021 harvest under the full moon

I help a young farmer in the area driving grain cart or truck, just depends on the day. The other night we were just finishing up a darn good season and I took this picture.

I remember in the 1970s when our gravity feed wagon was
the big one. Three hundred bushels with the 1 x 12
extensions I think. Those carts just keep getting bigger. Nice
picture.

It rains about every 3 days which keeps the mud fresh. Still quite a few beans given we going into the last week of October.
I'm getting a little worried at this point given the forecast. At least we are not in the path of that super storm hitting the
West Coast.

You finished up just in time. Now that dry ground can soak up this rain we are getting. We have a twitch under an inch west of Albert City.

I had a nice hay field and a big storm was approaching. Did not want it rained on so I stayed well after midnight to get it all square
baled and in the barn......almost burned the barn down! Maybe it was green hay, maybe it was heavy dew, maybe it was a fluke, who
knows. Just glad I checked it a couple of days later.

Yes when I was a kid we had a 350 and a 325 bushel Parker wagons. This one is a 875, two dumps from the combine fills the cart and one dump from the cart fills the semi. When working by the yard we park the semi over the auger, come in once and fill the truck then come back full and auger both loads up. I really have fun helping.

I was wondering the bushel capacity of semis. Gives me an idea as to what kind of (gross) return a farmers gets off a certain field.
