Steam Engine Retirement Gift

I retired from my job way back when, and the rest of the group chipped in to buy me
a steamer. It's more of an artist's impression of a steamer. It is made out of
hardware parts, such as pipes, spikes for wheel spokes, etc. I've been going to
modify it to line up the crankshaft with the cylinder, but haven't gotten around to it.

Sorry about the poor photos. My good camera is away at the moment.

Only 1 in 5000 people would even know which component was the cylinder. I would call it art. and good art at that. Jim

I had a friend and coworker reach out to me a few years ago about a retirement gift for his boss. He was a manager in the supply management group, one of their commodities being turbochargers. This particular manager had an hobby outside of work of restoring early (pre-1920) motorcycles. I told him I would give it a shot. He dropped off a bin of blown up turbocharger parts and the pictures below are what I came up with. Certainly more art than function on this one.
