Case steam engine

I have the same toy. Bought it on an after Christmas sale. 30% off the $55.99 price tag.

Never did under stand why Ertl made that stupid Frolich tractor. A Rumely model E or F would have made more since. And either an 8 bottom plow or threshing machine.

Anyone ever see that Youtube video of the scale Model John deere D that runs! I think it's about 1/8 scale. In the video the owner spins the flywheel a few times and it starts up.

Yes I did see that d one time and theres a model e engine that runs as well you used to able to buy kits to build the model e either partially machined completely machined or assembled

Back in the late 80's a gentleman that belonged to our tractor club in Phoenix Arizona purchased a set of full scale prints from the Smithsonian and in the machine shop in Sun City he built a scaled down model. He hand machined every single part. Every spoke and all the nuts to fasten to the wheel as well as all the gate valves in the cooling system. I believe the large round section was an 8 dai. piece of pipe. The overall length was just under 3' and weighed over 100 lbs. He worked on it every day for over a year and he would operate it at our shows using compressed air. He also said it would run with a fire in the box but it would ruin the paint.

wish I could buy this one its about an hour from home

Those mamod are neat too thats one I grew up dreaming about . I seen an ad for a catalog from mamod in farm journal I ordered that catalog and I read that until there was no ink left on the pages .

(quoted from post at 23:53:02 10/19/21) Thats too bad probably too far gone to save at this point to run anyway

Google search what Kory Anderson did with the 150hp Case.... nothing is too far gone if you have the time, money, and talent!
