Tractor pulling buddy died..

I learned yesterday my ol tractor pulling buddy Larry Lundry died Friday. He had Alzheimer's for a few years and it finally took him. He used to pull with the NTPA and I would ride along with him once in awhile. He was a good guy and for his love of popcorn he got the nickname--Popcorn. The pictures below are of his IH 460 splitting into at the big pull in Tomah Wisc.--He had a heck of a ride but never gave up. Sorry for the loss of your friend. Condolences to you and his family. Looks like he PoPped right out of that tractor.
 
So sorry to hear of your friend passing away. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease, my older sister (73) has it and it's sad to see the progression of the disease. RIP, Larry, may you have the ultimate pulling track at your resting place!!
 
I hadn't heard about Lary passing. He lived here in Oelwein, and was in our flying club. I went to plow day with him several years ago, ran his 460LP. He showed us a video of that pull at one of our meetings.
 
Went flying with Larry a couple of times--Gave him some $$$ for fuel and He was happy and I was happier! Nice big quiet guy.. Saw him at Pizza Ranch in Oelwein A year or two ago--He knew my wife but not me--felt bad for him. Da%& Alzheimers--Thanks---Tee
 
He said he took a tooth off of one of the bull gears and punched a hole in the case--caused the split. That is why the have the tie bars between the engine and the rear end--They call them Lundry bars!--Tee
 
Alzheimer's is indeed a horrible disease to deal. My wife has it. Last year I could no longer give her the care she required and had to place her in a long-term care facility.
 
My son saw him and talked to him a week ago at the firemans spaghetti supper. He said Larry knew him and they had a good talk. Was shocked when he heard he died.
