I'm ready to roll tomorrow morning. A YTDOT Inspector stopped by and checked out my trailer all around and even underneath. She pronounced it good to go.

It may pass a DOT inspection but that doesn't mean it will pass a YTDOT inspection where they makeup the rules as they go or whatever someone feels they should be. LOL
 
WJY. do you remove your truck tail gate when pulling your trailer? Yikes. I love that trailer. Thats exactly what I am saving my SS pay increase for. That or talking my beautiful wife into forfeiting all of my birthday and Christmas presents for the rest of my life in trade for one. Wingnut
 
I wanted a 26' lo-boy but none had the standup ramps and the 24 has worked out fine. The rails are somewhat annoying but I build some steps that slip onto the stanchion loops so I can get up on the trailer from the side. I added a receiver for my winch up over the toolbox. It pulls great and the best thing is, it was a new 2015 model that I purchased on March 30, 2016 so I got a great deal. March 30 is the day before they had to do inventory for property taxes and they wanted it off the lot. I did remove the factory tailgate and had to pay out the nose for a replacement. I only put it on when I need it.

Looks good, John. I was planning on stopping by but now, at 11:30pm Im waiting to here from my wife who is at TX A&M emergency clinic with her 11 year old Cocker Spaniel. The news 3 hours ago was not good and Im fearing the worst now.
 
looks to me that front axle on the trailer is slinging oil , besides the environmental damage it my cause , when it runs dry and bearing failure accrues the forest fires and destruction will be biblical
