Farmall cub vs Allis G

Just a quick comparison with a moldboard plow. The G seems to have a slight advantage........ Will get a plow mounted on a cub and do a side by side in the next few days.

Cub plow is bigger and may be plowing deeper....

When I was a kid, we pulled a section of a rotary hoe behind the 3 bottom plow to help break up the dirt before it dried and turned to brick.
I wonder what a small ATV disk would do to get dirt seed ready.

Having used both of those for years doing plot work at Clemson, I would take the Cub over the G for real work.
I put a Sanginaw electric lift on the G to pick up the 6 planter feet we were using on the G.
Ran that lift for many years and sure made it easier on my arm and wrist.
Photo of the lift.
I converted the G to 12 volt to be able to use this.

After you use the G you will like it. Get cultivators. I use mine just for the garden. It leaves the dirt in good shape. You will leave the Red in the Shed. LOL

Go ahead,,show all your great tractors,,rub salt in to my wounds too,,,(lol)
Ill post my Two pt equipment

She looks to be in a more comfortable position on the G. Comfort is very important during a long day.

Looks to me that although the Cub may be cutting slightly deeper the AC G looks to be more comfortable in action. Nice looking tractors. Wingnut

Larry, you keep showing off your bountiful harvest.....my garden drowned with out producing much at all. I would trade a tractor for the harvest!!

GP,
Agree he's showing off and rubbing our nose in it.
But that's ok.
No contest, HE'S THE WINNER>

No disrespect to either tractor intended but:

Neither a Cub or G does Larry need,
To supply all the people that he feeds!

So what the verdict the Cub or the G ?
I got a nursery guy up here that had six g s ,hes the g has more guts .
I dont know Steiner got in new crankshaft shipment of G cranks. First thing I noticed the G only has two main bearings , oh oh is that why they got a new shipment ?
