IH H TRACTOR Gear shift locked up, How to get it unlocked?

You'll probably have to pull the shift lever off (out the top). Then need to move the shift rails till all the slots are lined up.

You may have to Rock the tractor back and forth a little to get it to move

You might have to block both sides of one wheel and jack the other side up to get the pressure off of the gears.

And when you have it out build the end up with weld and grind it down to its original profile so it don't happen again.

Is it right mind shows the two grooves one on right side, then space in the middle, then groove on the left which will not move tried everything you guys said.

HOW do you find out what size it is?

Build it up so it just fits in the slots. You should be able to tell how much is wore off.
