Yesterday I drove to Pella,Iowa for the Red Rock Threshers Corn Picking Day.They had a good show, they said that not as many pickers as normal came but they picked and shelled anyway. Good lunch by the FFA Alumni. They had a trailer with hand shellers mounted on it and the kids had a good time shelling corn.A guy had a trailer with 2 mini AC tractors and a roto baler and a silage chopper that he built from scratch. Awesome job, they looked like they got wet and shrank! A great day and show, thanks to all who helped

Dad shelled all our corn in the 50s and 60s with an Oliver picker like that. Barge boxes and an old Habco dryer completed the operation. 800 case on the picker.

He didnt run them but from the detail I think they would. He said he used Briggs engines and made everything else. I thought I took close ups but cant find them.

Yes, they are operational. I know the guy who built them. He was a welder for years in the custom manufacturing shop at Co-Line welding in Sully, IA. Gaylord DeJong is a genius in the shop. He can fab up just about anything. The tractors have a B&S engine that runs the PTO and I think they even have working hydraulics. It is amazing the detail he built into them.
