Hay is done for this year

I finished the last of the baling this afternoon and only have 7 round bales to haul home and I'm done. Now all I have to do is clean up equipment and put it away. I feel like it has been an awfully tiring summer with the hot months and all the rain it was hard to get it all done. Now I need to get some lime spread and some manure hauled befor we go on the cruise our oldest daughter gave us.
 
Wish I was done but I still have the south field to do. 3.5 acres or so. We got some rain today and hopefully will get a bit more then I'll cut and bale it. Been to dry here so the rain should help green it up some
 
I was done in mid july after my Newholland T4020 with only 2500 hrs had a major breakdown with a cracked head its been at the dealership ever since still waiting on parts
 
Im not terribly far from you Keith and I made more hay this year than any other. I may have finished up today but doubt it as I fully expect to put up some dry alfalfa hay after it frosts.
 
I just finished yesterday too, good feeling to have a barn full of hay. I got it all in with no rain this year, rare for me. I even have a small surplus that I will sell to cover the twine costs, feeling grateful.
 
Feels good to complete a season of hay. That cruise sounds very fun and what a switch of gears it will be. I also finished hay yesterday, that last day of Sept. I did 1,550 small squares this year by myself. Same as you, now I just have to clean everything up and park it where I want it for the winter.
 
I'm done this week also now just got to finish putting it up in place for the winter. I set it in any place to have it out of the rain that was coming. Cut about 40 acres of beans the last couple days too. Now need to catch up on things for a day. Will put baler in winter place and get some other things done in prep for winter.
