Shop light with remote

I want to install a light outside the shop that acts like a garage door opener. I mean when I push the remote the light would come on for about 3 minutes and then automatically shuts off. I have a halogen light and am wondering if a garage opener control unit is all that I need. I don't want a motion sensor light as I have too many tree branches that would continually trigger the motion sensor. When I approach the shop in the dark, I can push a remote on my key chain and have the light come on for a short time. This is not intended to defend against intruders.
Is there a remote controlled light switch with a 3 minute timer?

Get a "Bluetooth light bulb", you can control it with your phone, no extra wiring or equipment needed.

The boss like an antique chandler. I put it in her garage, ran an extension cord from
chandler to the garage door opener. Removed the bulb in the opener and screwed in an
adapter to plug in the chandler cord.
How many garages have you seen with a chandler operated by the opener??

I think all country garages need a chandler.

Do you mean chandelier?

There is a company called smart home that sells all kinds of gadgets to turn lights on/off. They are on the internet at smarthome.com. There are others as well I'm sure but can't remember who they are. I
have used several smart home devices and they work for me.

How about THE CLAPPER!!! You may have to wait for their Christmas commercials first to proceed with an order, LOL. Now I can't get that stupid clap-on, clap-off jingle out of my head.
