Deere 2510 Seat Adjustment

I picked up a new to me Deere 2510. I love the tractor - its great, starts very easy and turns on a dime.

The one gripe I have is the seat suspension. It is currently set to 150 pounds. Im not 150 pounds so I bottom out. Its not comfortable.

Ive found the 1/4 stud under the seat I assume you adjust to up the weight. Problem is it wont budge. Ive hit it with PB Blaster, an impact, everything I can think of. It wont move at all.

Is there a secret to get this thing to move? Its driving me crazy.

Thx.

They often are froze up. Just heat where it threads in with a torch and it will come loose. You might need to remove the seat assembly from the tractor. While it is off you might as well replace all the metal bushings. Not cheap but makes a nice ride when done. You can get complete kits on Ebay reasonable. Tom
