Going through some of my brothers stuff. I find he was a hoarder like myself. Anyway, I found parts with IH part numbers, and on the part ticket Case is also mentioned. What does Case have to do With IH? Stan

Case and ih merged In 1989 . Case ih and ford and new holland parts are now sold by cnh global which is owned by fiat an Italian company . Cnh stands for case New Holland global .

I guess if I owned one of those I would have known that. It's been said you learn something new every day. Stan

case and international were two totally different tractor companies till they merged. and not same tractor nor same paint.

In 1984, Case parent Tenneco bought selected assets of the International Harvester agriculture division and merged it with J.I. Case. All agriculture products are first labeled Case International and later Case IH.

I bought one part from CNH and will never buy any more. I bought a starter solenoid and installed it and the next day just from the vibration of the motor one of the contacts where you attach the cable tore out of it. Then I take it back to them and they wouldn't give me my money back or replace it.

(quoted from post at 21:47:54 09/09/21) case and international were two totally different tractor companies till they merged. and not same tractor nor same paint.

The very first Case-IH tractors after the merger were simply CASE tractors, painted red.

i know that it is when they became one and now put new Holland in the mix three in to one for the most part
