I want to swing

Actually, I want my 3 point hitch to NOT swing side-to-side on my International 986.
I'm just practicing my click-bait, with that title.

My hitch currently swings side-to-side. Do you know how to set it to NOT swing?

Here's a picture of mine. The red arrow points to a bolt, which I think the manual calls a Lateral Limiter
I'm missing the one on the left side, where I put a blue arrow. I need to put a bolt there.

The U shaped part, with a yellow arrow, pivots and I don't see any place to put a bolt in it or otherwise freeze it.
This seems to be the problem.
Maybe the 2nd picture helps. This part pivots, the lateral limiter connects to it at the bottom and moves forward and backward.

Who has experience with the 86 series, probably the same for 1086, and can help me not sway?

I think I have the telescoping sway limiter, I don't think I have the optional cam sway limiter.

Who can help by telling me how to set this so the brush cutter and cultivator don't move side to side?

Thank you!

Cant you just bolt a block onto the outside of the draw bar yoke, were the 3 pth arm swings against the yoke?. I have a 966, same basic tractor, but I never have had this problem, as I have only ever used the 3pth to pull a semi mounted plough, and the sway in necessary. There should be a cast iron block/sway limiter that will bolt on

Looks like the part with the yellow arrow is to adjust the pivot point of the limiters according to the height of the lower arms, since they have a different pivot point to the limiters. If you pull the left side arm all the way to the left you may find a hole that a bolt can drop through. Any chance the round bars can turn to lengthen or shorten them? might have to pull the pin out of the slot or elsewhere to unlock them. Looks like they may be able to turn in the end at the lower link arm.

The upper part needs to be loose or when you lift and lower it will break things. Put the bolt in at the blue spot and it will be as good as it can be.

I think it was designed to limit implement swing when in raised position. I think if you were to raise it all the way up without anything on it you could see how it limits the swing of the arms. Option might be to put another bar with holes on one side to hook to one of the lower 3pt pins and a bracket bolted to the axle housing. Saw a lot of those on old Fords to keep the mower from swinging.
