Ford 3400 Power Steering Issues

Can anyone help me out here? I have a 1974 Ford 3400 Industrial Tractor. I replaced the lower power steering seal in the upper housing and the bushing in the top of the upper housing, along with the two "O" Rings that go on both sides of the power steering valve body. I got it all put back together and it now the power steering only works when turning to the left and not as well as it worked before I replaced the seal and bushing. You can turn it to the right but it is very difficult. I've checked to make sure I have the lines connected correctly and they are since they are solid lines and it would be hard to get them mixed up, but also according to the manual they are correct. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Just general information, but sounds like something is restricting the movement of the directional
valve inside the steering gear.

Could be assembled wrong, or a piece of trash got loose and is caught in the valve, jamming the
movement in one direction.

Yes, it's really odd. That's what they were thinking at the Ford house I go to. Really good guys and try to help as much as possible. I'm as a loss on this one. May just have to break down and take it in and let them diagnose.

Air and low oil level can cause that. In your manual did it say anything about timing on the hand pump. Some do. If so that may be the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. My manual is pretty vague on the power steering part of it. However there is nothing in there about timing of the pump.
