New Holland 7740

I have a NH 7740 SL (4450 hours) that is making a whining noise when you turn to the right and left. It vibrates the entire steering wheel and drowns out the radio. Hydraulic fluid and filters are fresh and new clutch has been installed. The tractor steers fine, no binding or hesitancy, just a loud noise and vibration. Any suggestions?

Not sure what system that has, but whining and vibrating hydraulics is usually a sign of air in the system.

Could be low oil level, clogged suction strainer, leaking suction side plumbing drawing in air.

Just a guess, a place to start...

Not sure which system is on this 7740, variable or fixed. It has 3 hydro filters, 2 on the right side and 1 on the left side under the cab. Fluid levels are correct and no sign of air intrusion into system found. Manual has no reference of a suction strainer. Leaning towards steering pump pressure test.
