Todays project shop clean up.

I ordered what I hope is the last of what we need to finish the auction
M and put it back into service. So while we wait for parts to come in I
had to clean up the shop. Im not a neat freak but I try to keep things
half way clean, and this place had gotten out of control. Tripping over
things on the floor, no place to put anything on the work bench. I
swear if its flat and at least 3 inches square it has something piled on
it!

After about 8 hours of throwing away, organizing, and rearranging Id
say its about 85.7 percent better! Now the Farmalls all have a spot
under roof and I can just fit my truck in! I know Im gonna jinx myself
but Im gonna say it out loud. I dont have anymore room for another
tractor! After saying that 2 more will probably show up! If anybody is
looking to build a shed my advice would be to double your square
footage!

It seams like you blink and its a huge mess! I threw a lot away, thrash guy is gonna hate me this week! Good luck with your clean up.

I heard this awhile back that they were coming out with a new workbench that when you turn out your light and shut your shop door a hydraulic cylinder tips your bench and all the junk falls on the floor so you always have a clean bench to start the next day---Tee

I know what you mean. When we got our little shop I thought oh boy this is perfect. Now I wish it was at least twice as big!

(quoted from post at 17:39:12 08/29/21) I realized I had 5 workbenches and had no place to put anything.

I have close to 30 linear ft. of workbench space, but only a spot about 16 inches wide to do any work on.

It doesn't matter how big a shop or shed you build, it will always be full--your stuff will expand to fit the space available!

Rich,
I have a flat surface theory. Build a flat surface in pole barn and you will fill it.
I have a self cleaning workbench. It's the tailgate on truck. When I'm done, lift the
tailgate and it cleans itself for next time.

Another theory, if it takes 8 hours to clean workbenches 8 minutes later, you can't
tell you cleaned it.
