Our internet comes off of a grain leg in town and they finally got power back on at 4 this afternoon--was off over 24 hrs.-trees were blown down on electric wires--Lots of damage to crops and bins. The house shook so bad the nick-nacks were falling out of the shadow boxes the wife has on some of the walls-picture on the walls were all crooked this morning---Tee

Oh my! I hate when that happens! You get so close to harvest and then have that bad of crop damage. Life gets a lot harder in just a few minutes. I heard Oelwein had 100 mph winds and wondered if you got hit. Glad your house stayed home. We missed the wind but also missed the rain. Got less than 2 tenths and needed 2 inches. The hot and dry has taken the top off our yields this past couple weeks.

I'm sorry to see all of the damage...I'd heard that 3 counties in Iowa got hit bad....In my area 2021 has been one of the quietest weather years in ages..
