One of my Cellular Antenna/Booster/ReTransmitters is a Wilson Electronics. It has an outside antenna that wires to an indoor amplifier which wires to an indoor re tramsmission antenna which my cell phone receives. If there's absolutely NO signal in the area hey It cant work. It can help with a weak signal but NOT if theres none available......There are many other brands and options out there. Some just have an indoor cradle you lay your phone into. Im NOT an expert on these this just happens to be one of those in my RV Im sure others prefer different brands. Best I recall I got one on Amazon another on Flea Bay but Best Buy has them.

PS My MIMO is ONLY for my Verizon 8800 Jetpack WiFi Hotspot. The Wilson is for my cellular phone service. Amazon or Flea Bay I forget??

JT,
I need something for verizon cell phone. I'm located between two towers. I have to go outside go use phone, then lucky to get one bar.
What antenna and what wilson amplifier? There are too many to choose from.
Thanks,
geo

Wilson We Boost is a favorite. Outdoor antenna with cable to indoor amp, then cable to indoor re transmitting antenna your cell phone picks up. Try Amazon or Flea Bay or Best Buy

Thanks.

I notice there aren't any Wilson.
I think 5 G will be soon. So going to look into a 4 and 5G Booster.

What's the difference between boosters for an RV and one for a house??

No real difference other then maybe the types of antennas. I thought the Wilson We Boost says for RV or homes ??? Basically the same thing outdoor antenna, indoor amplifier and indoor re transmit antenna easy peasey. Maybe the RV type are for 12 VDC while home amps are 120 VAC ??

Wilson or Sure Call is my recommendation

I do not understand I am in absolutely the end of the world , back side of nowhere and we are already testing 5G and there in uppity up Indiana you have marginal service. Is it just because you are in a low place or the area . Like you said in between two towers so how far apart or those towers.

I've had Verizon Wireless for 15 years and complained to Verizon about lack of signal for the last 14 years. Nothing else works here. Verizon finally sent me a 'range extender' about 3 months ago for free ($270.), now I get the service I've been paying for all these years. It is a box, about 10 inches square and 2 inches deep, sits in the window near the modem, plugs into the modem and ac power, works off the internet in your house and in my case 8 out of 12 satellites. Now I have service everywhere within 200 yards of it (supposed to work for 50 feet), I'm happy.

Jerry,
I don't know why I live in a dead zone. My phone bounces between Indiana tower and Ill. tower, I know when it on an Ill tower, my time on phone is an hour behind.

There are times I'm only getting 3G. Nothing works then.

I have to turn Wifi off on phone before I can sometimes get 1 bar and sometimes not even 3g.

I'm only guessing. I think it might be the towers are overloaded, because I'm on the fringe of their reach, I get nothing.

Same with Frontier internet. Slow bandwidth at best. When it's overloaded I get nothing because I'm 2 miles out of the greatest distance phone lines can carry an internet signal.

My place up north is located in a slight valley.
The brick house is like a metal pole barn. Clay brick have metal particles.
That house has Aluminum covered insulation in the walls. So that house is like a metal can in a valley. Metal particles in Anderson Low E windows.

Geo, I have the Wilson Connect 4g. Cost a little over $500 from Amazon. There's probably a 5g model now but don't know for sure. It has the larger coverage area.

To start with I had Verizon and put the antenna under the overhang on the side of the house. It worked good. I switched to AT&T and they used a different tower so I put up a 30 ft pole at the back of the house and bought another antenna for it.

The Verizon jetpack will work with the booster. The AT&T Hotspot won't. We still don't have a good Verizon 4g signal here after all these years so I don't expect a 5g signal for at least another decade.
