Made it up to Waterloo for the show and pull this year. Pulled the 36 A in the 4000 and 4500 stock classes. Ran good enough for a 2nd and 3rd. Ill take that any time. Gave all winnings back to the club of course (might have actually went to the sled crew beer fund, but they earned it). Even met a fellow YTer with the hardest running diesel Case Ive seen. If you frequent the pulling forum you will know who I mean. Posted a couple of videos to YouTube. Hope the links work. Im no expert, but you are supposed to run the steering brakes with your hands right? Had a few questions about that until I got off the tractor.

Watched ya pull HFP--Good job--Nice talking to you. We had a good time pulling too--The guy that was flagging you is Dan W.-the guy that runs the sleds son-Good kid-helps me throw weights and other stuff. So today I asked him if he wanted to run the Case in the 4500 open--he said sure but I had to ask his Dad if it was alright--Dad said ok so after a quick Case hand clutch driving school he ran it. Did a good job and had fun and nobody got hurt! Wife has a video but in the excitement I forgot to take a pic. See ya down the road---Tee

Try you feet on the brakes next time. Never seen it done that way before. That YT'er with the Case diesel didn't tell you to do it that way did he?

Mel, Im actually paralyzed from the chest down and in a wheelchair from a motorcycle accident years ago. I either hit them with my hands or dont hit them at all. The best show of the pull is probably watching me crank that thing over by hand from my chair. Jealous of your hard running Gs. An unstyled G is on my wish list.

She sounds good.

Sorry to hear that. I thought from reading your post you was questioning using your brakes that way. You actually did pretty well doing it that way. I have seen guys reach down and pull the pedal back when they are sticky before. Maybe have to make some kind of extension on them so you don't have to reach so far over. Also, you can shift your body weight from side to side to steer it if that is possible for you to do. I was leaning over almost on my tire the other night bring to keep mine straight. Good luck in your future pulls.

No need to be sorry. Unless youve seen me pull (or climb on and off the tractor) you would never know. I like the tip about leaning, but with no fenders and my wobbly a$$ I better not go too far or Ill be eating tire tread. I genuinely hope we cross paths someday. Id like to meet you and say hello.

I will most likely be at the Waterloo NATPA pull Nov. 12th and 13th. Would be glad to meet and say hello to you. It doesn't take much of a lean to make a difference. Try it sometime. Just remember to lean in the direction it is pulling you towards.
