Have had a few calls , we are high and dry but all the river bottom crops and many buildings gone. All that can be replace so far 10 confirmed dead and 31 missing this morning. Hopefully some will show up this morning when communications can get back up and going. They are calling it flood of the century. 75 miles west of Nashville

7 month twins got swept away by flood water. their bodies were recovered several hours later. According to the local news the 17" came in about 4 hour or so.
I just got back from moving a track hoe down so the city could use it. they have very limited resources, worse than what I expected. Death toll is now at 17 and still over 30 not accounted for. Snapped one picture little KUBOTA did not fare too well , this is one street over from their main street. Where the KUBOTA is laying they said water ran over 12 feet deep at one time. Many homes destroyed.

in 2008 we got 10 inches in 24 hours.
We are high enough no flood damage.
However there were some homes, not in a flood plane, no flood insurance and they were total losses. Some houses are still empty today.
Makes you glad you don't live in a subdivision the was put in a flood plain because someone messed with the drainage ditch. Others no one thought it would flood. Nothing like you had, no deaths, just property damage.
Did you have any damage, besides crops?
