I think I heard them say they used zip ties to stand some of the corn back up and tie it to something for the game at Field of Dreams last night.
A couple of days of storms had blown some down.

I see a little duct tape. Maybe that's left over from the Mark I version. It looks like Mark II utilized galvanized pipe hanger strap.

Those look like the big ties used for securing HVAC ducts. I'll bet each one is good for at least a hundred pounds. If it was good enough to get home, I guess they got the job done. Using materials sourced at HD.

I wonder how well zip ties go through a combine?

Did you hear that they used 1,100 stakes to tie the corn too? Wondering how one or two forgotten stakes will go through the combine.

And people here say DOT cops are overzealous...

That should get them brakes working again!

There is not much rust on that chassis yet.

Looks like they were used to keep the sway bar from dragging on the ground. The frame and tires had to do the job.

Almost as bad as a kid I went to high school with, used zip ties to hold the fuel tank onto his Ford ranger. Wanted to be a mechanic after he graduated

Looks like between those and the pipe hanger strap there is no way that will fail. I like the vertical one to the left. That way if the others let go at least that bar will not drop on the road and drag. BTW.. I am not going to try it.. you try it.. I am not going to try it hey lets get Mikey.. hey Mikey want to take this for a little test drive?
