Well the belt arrived today and a half hours work to put it on, right, wrong! Remember the good old days when harmonic damper pulleys didn't fall apart? So now I ordered a new pulley and wait another week before it comes. It's amazing that the alternator and power steering pump still worked! A person would think that cars would be made better, not worse!
 
I can't believe a '92 Colt runs. What piles of crap. Road salt cut most of those in half within a couple years around here. I bet I haven't seen one in 25 years. My cousin had one, it was broken more than it ran.
 
What a bunch if grouches! I rebuilt the engine, the seats are like new, it's 4 wheel drive it's a rare 5 speed, it is wheel chair accessible and will probably last another 200,000 miles and all my money will go in the bank while you nutjobs will spend thousands and thousands on you big fancy new cars!
 
You set the tone by griping about a 30 year old harmonic balancer falling apart. It lasted this long, so you got your money's worth.
 
Thanks, I quit buying cars that depreciate. I gave $225 for this with a bad engine. The balance shaft bearings went bad in it. I cut off the balance shaft. I have about $300 in engine parts. No rust, perfect body and paint is good! I was offered $2000 for it already! It would probably be worth more for a handicaped person.
 

We are just messing with ya BUT I spec few of them are in captivity. Information is hard to come by I was trying to find info on a 92 Geo tracker to day its scarce. The guy thinks its out of time by talking to him its not. He pulled the distributor and brought it by I think his issue is the rotor button will fit on the shaft 3 different ways. I figured the index out on it I hope that ends it...
 
Now the rest of the story. That's why the balancer failed. The balance shafts are there for a reason.
