I took the advice you guys gave me and kept the start relay/solenoid. We used 10ga wire with heat shrink connectors.
I sure there are 12 different ways to do it but this works for me. After we were done I put a battery in to check the starter. No smoke and the starter turned the engine over Ill call that a win! UPS says the parts we ordered will be here tomorrow so the mag and carburetor will be next. Were getting close to seeing if shell start! Thanks for the help guys.
