It is good yet. Put a squirt of door and window Urethane in the open places and put gorilla tape, in 1/2 strips round and round overlapping 1/4 inch. Wait a day and run it. Jim

JAN ...... I've used some of that sealant you refer to, the real stuff that the auto glass shops use, very expensive but man, it is the real McCoy. Problem I find is that you can't buy it in a small tube, only the big cartridge .... although some small tubes for sale say it's the real thing but it isn't. Once you break that seal, it eventually hardens up and becomes unusable unfortunately. What's been your experience with that issue?

Heck that outside layer is just for show, same as a bald tire, once it sheds it's outer skin and the belts start showing your traction on ice improves and your good for another 6 months :D

I found that Lexcel (a clear polymer sealant) works very well and comes in the squeeze tubes. I also found that Urethane can stay usable if the cut tip is cleaned with brake clean, and one of those red hardware caulk caps is used. Jim

A new hose was only 14$ and in stock so I probably wont put to much money into it . Now if was in a bind or stranded i would probably try some of these ideas .
