Picked up a NH 462 disc mower

Well I got tired of wrenching on the shared haybine and bought a disc mower on a online auction sight unseen. Got it hooked up to bring in the shop. It looks like it needs a little more work than I expected (cracked and worn shoes, half of the turtles wobble, Maybe a leaky gearbox).

Plan to order manuals and strip it apart before I spend a bunch of money on parts and go past the point of no return. Anybody have a parts machine?

Anyone know why it wont angle up to vertical? The lower lift arms are level.

Check fluid level in cutterbar, maybe should change it, don't overfill as that can destroy it too.

My guess is hyd oil has leaked past cutter lift cylinder piston blocking piston from traveling full length of cylinder barrel. Is breather removable?

Lower the cutter head down and see if there is a lock. My discmower has a lock that will hold it in the vertical position. So I am wondering if yours has a lock, but it is sitting in the wrong position. And preventing the head to rise

I have a Newholland HM235 disc mower seven ft cut.turtles/blade's/hold down bolts are expensive id get a manual if you don't have one. I change the oil in the cutter bar and gearbox every season doesn't take much pretty cheap insurance plan
