On a trip to Wyoming for more case stuff. Made it out, got loaded and on the way home. The V-10 is getting a workout. Not going to say it's burning a lot of gas, but if you don't shut it off at the gas station the tank won't get full. Lol.

Picked w a silage blower and another 1160 combine and some parts and such. Hope to get home tomorrow.

Is the trailer 8 ft 6 in wide and does the tail hydraulic fold. Been looking a getting something like that for use around here. I am thinking 28/30 ft that one looks a little longer. What kind of brake set up.

This one is 8'6 and 40' long. The entire bed tilts. It has electric over hydraulic brakes on 12k axles. It is one of the trailers we use at work for hauling containers. My bosses let me use it. It is VERY heavy, but pulls nice and rides nice.

Thanks John.. the full tilt works fine for the container deal but tractors , I just don,t want that first one that high up. That v10 will get the job done. We have a 4900 ih two ton that just does not get enough use as a flat bed and thinking if I had a 28/30 ft gooseneck we could use it some.. Have a great day

And you didn't stop in Sturgis so I could buy you coffee or lunch. Last time I saw Tom I bought the ice cream. As hot as it is a cone wouldn't last long as you would have to lick fast. I could have showed you my 511B project. Not far from running.

That combine creates a LOT of wind resistance.

I am guessing he is a lot more worried about bridges and power lines than mileage.

If I were to guess the top of that load must be somewhere near 15 foot high.

My son and I were in Gillette Sunday night and Monday morning. Had a semi with two cab and chasis trucks he bought out there. Wind and heat were terrible. Got 5 mpg and I 90 had some killer bumps. What did you do about points of entry and scales?

From the first picture, it looks like you could use a set of air bags to level up the tail of your truck. You sure wouldn't want to break a spring with that load. I use air bags on my F350 and don't need to set the pressure higher than 20 psi while hauling the big triaxle trailer (gross 21,000).

Have a safe trip!
